In 2002, the close-end investment fund (PID) Infond Zlat, d.d., which was established during the Slovenian privatization process for the purpose of colleting privatization vouchers, changed its legal status in accordance with the Investment Funds and Investment Companies Act and the First Pension Fund and Transformation of Authorized Investment Companies Act.  

The process of transformation started on 24 May 2001 when the shareholders’ meeting of PID Infond Zlat adopted the decision to demerge PID Infond Zlat into three new companies which were:

• Infond PID, pooblaščena investicijska družba, d.d.,
• Infond ID, investicijska družba, d.d. (now: Infond ID, posebna investicijska družba, d.d.), and
• Infond holding, finančna družba, d.d.

On 8 May 2002, the Securities Market Agency issued the permit (ref. nos. 58/40/AG-02-(251), 29/92/AG-02 and 28/1/AG-02) which reads as follows.

1. A permit is issued by which the demerger of the close-end investment fund INFOND-ZLAT, pooblaščena investicijska družba, d.d., is authorized along with formatting new companies. At the same time permits are issued for (1) transforming into INFOND HOLDING, finančna družba, d.d., with the share capital of SIT 16,874,787,000.00, (2) formatting of the close-end investment fund INFOND PID, pooblaščena investicijska družba, d.d., with the share capital of SIT 8,717,956,000.00, and (3) formatting of the investment fund management company INFOND ID, investicijska družba, d.d. (now Infond ID, posebna investicijska družba, d.d.), with the share capital of SIT 8,141,815,000.00. 2. Upon the demerger, the close-end investment fund INFOND-ZLAT, pooblaščena investicijska družba, d.d., with its share capital of SIT 33,734,558,000.00, ceases to exist.
